Bob Saget isn’t trying to cut Lori Loughlin out of his life.

The former “Full House” star told Fox News in a recent interview that he doesn’t want to eliminate Loughlin, who also starred on the show as Aunt Becky, from his life.

“I love the people I love, and people go through life, and stuff happens,” the 63-year-old told Fox News. “For a while, I was saying, ‘no comment,’ and now there’s just no point in talking about it because I’ve answered it. What I would say is, I love the people I love, and I have empathy for people that are in my life for 35 years. I don’t cut people out.”

“I’ve never had any friends growing up,” Saget said. “So, I’m lucky to have any in the first place.”

Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli are accused of paying $500,000 in bribes so their daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose Giannulli, could be crew team recruits for the University of Southern California. Loughlin and Giannulli pleaded not guilty in the case and are awaiting trial.

The “Full House” cast has remained mostly mum about Loughlin, who starred on the show and its spinoff, “Fuller House.” The cast seemed to reference Loughlin at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards earlier this year.

John Stamos — who plays Loughlin’s on-screen husband, Uncle Jesse — has done the most to highlight Loughlin, sharing photos of the entire cast (including her) on social media, according to the Deseret News.

Stamos told Entertainment Tonight he found the college admissions scandal troubling for all parties involved.

“I’m just going to wait a little longer before I talk about it. It’s a difficult situation for everyone involved. I don’t mean just on our side,” he said, according to the Deseret News.

Candace Cameron Bure said Loughlin’s exit from the “Fuller House” show — which is about to launch its final season — hadn’t been discussed
