“Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek released a new public service announcement aimed at raising awareness about pancreatic cancer.

Trebek was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in March.

In the video, Trebek calls for more awareness about the disease and the risks associated with it. He adds that pancreatic cancer only has a five-year survival rate.

“I wish I had known sooner that the persistent stomach pain I experienced prior to my diagnosis was a symptom of pancreatic cancer,” Trebek says in the video. “Other common symptoms can include mid-back pain, unexplained weight loss, new onset diabetes and the yellowing of the skin or eyes.”

Trebek said he hopes people join the World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition to raise awareness. He also hopes people spread awareness of World Pancreatic Cancer day on Nov. 21 through social media, according to Fox News.

“On World Pancreatic Cancer Day, we unite as a global movement to advocate for early detection and better outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients,” said WPCC chairman Julie Fleshman, according to Yahoo! Entertainment. “By raising awareness of pancreatic cancer risks and symptoms, we hope that people will be aware and alert their doctor sooner when there is more opportunity for intervention.”
