Disney Plus launched Tuesday morning to much fanfare. But there were also plenty of fans who couldn’t connect at all.
Disney Plus is showing “unable to connect” errors for multiple customers, hinting that the service’s servers might not be prepared for the influx of new users.
Social media members shared images of their app hinting that they couldn’t connect. This reporter saw a message pop up hinting at the error.
The error message shows a picture of Ralph and Vanellope from “Wreck-It Ralph” and “Wreck-It Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet,” with an invitation to refresh your page or check back later once service is connected again.
Disney released a statement about the launch.
“The consumer demand for Disney Plus has exceeded our high expectations,” a Disney spokesperson said. “We are pleased by this incredible response and are working to quickly resolve the current user issue. We appreciate your patience.”
Disney Streaming Service already has teams monitoring the launch. The company plans to address the issues and help the app run smoothly, according to The Verge.
