The Killers announced Friday morning that the group will release a new album early next year.

What’s going on: The new album, titled “Imploding the Mirage,” will drop in spring 2020, according to the band, which announced the release on Twitter.

  • The Killers announced pre-sale tickets are now available for the UK and Ireland tour.
  • “Future musical teasing imminent,” the band tweeted.

“Imploding the Mirage” will be a follow-up album to the 2017 LP “Wonderful Wonderful.”

Flashback: The Killers released a song called “Land of the Free” earlier this year, which was “a song in response to President Trump’s proposed border wall, institutional racism and the country’s failure to introduce substantial gun control reform,” according to Rolling Stone.

  • It’s unclear if that song will be on the new album.

However: The Killers shared a list of song titles in October. One of them is called “Mirage,” which seems like it would make the new album.
