A new photo from “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” shows a new pilot to the legendary Millennium Falcon ship.
What happened: Entertainment Weekly shared a new exclusive photo from the film that shows Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) piloting the Falcon with Finn (John Boyega) right behind him. Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo) sits in the co-pilot chair.
- The looks of surprise, determination and excitement on all three of their faces show that our heroes are about to jump into something next level.

What’s interesting: It seems the pilot’s chair will include a few suitors in the forthcoming film. Clips from TV spots and trailers have shown Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams) and Rey (Daisy Ridley) taking the front seat of the ship.
What they’re saying: “Our guess? From ‘The Rise of Skywalker‘s’ trailers, we know that Poe, Finn, Rey and the rest of the gang are sent off on a mission to some far-flung forest planet, before arriving at the ruins of Death Star II. Said quest presumably has something to do with Emperor Palpatine, who has been looming over Episode IX like a spectral ghost ever since that signature cackle rang out in the darkness,” according to We Got This Covered.
Release: “The Rise of Skywalker” hits theaters on Dec. 20.
