Could Anakin Skywalker defeat Rey? According to “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” star John Boyega, definitely.

Boyega recently tweeted that Anakin Skywalker could easily defeat Rey and any other “Rise of Skywalker” heroes, despite claims of the contrary.

“I’m sorry guys but Anakin slapping all of us in a pit of lava. Including Kylo,” he tweeted.

Boyega admitted that Obi-Wan Kenobi was a strong warrior — he defeated Anakin Skywalker in “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” — but Anakin would still be supreme over the characters from the sequel trilogy.

Boyega’s comments came in response to an article centered around a new Marvel comic, titled “Journey to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker — Allegiance #3,” which revealed that Rey was a powerful Force user and a powerful Jedi. As Comic Book Resource points out, the comic reportedly showed Rey was just as strong as Anakin Skywalker and might even be a chosen one by her own right.

In the new comic, “we’re seeing Rey fighting Force-sensitive monsters in training, going on scavenging missions unsupervised, battling killer droids and using weapons in a way we didn’t see the Skywalkers doing. All this shapes her into a one-woman army at times,” according to CBR.
