You may see a trailer for “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” and think Tom Hanks looks eerily similar to Fred Rogers. Well, it turns out they’re related.

A new Ancestry.com report suggests the two are related. Hanks and Rogers are sixth cousins, sharing the same great-great-great-great-great grandfather, Johannes Mefford, according to CBS.

A representative of Ancestry.com told CBS News that the company reviewed 20 billion records to consider the family tree.

“Fred Rogers and Tom Hanks are sixth cousins sharing the same 5x great-grandfather ... who immigrated from Germany to America in the 18th century,” Ancestry spokeswoman Keri Madonna told CNN.

Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson, discovered the truth during an interview with “Access Hollywood.”

“No. Impossible. No, you’re pulling our leg,” said Wilson.

Hanks was shocked, too. “It all just comes together, you see,” he said.
