The forth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is here.

Marvel Studios released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming “Black Widow” film early Tuesday morning. The film was originally announced at San Diego Comic-Con during the summer.

The trailer shows Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) back in what appears to be Eastern Europe. She meets up with Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Melina Vostokoff (Rachel Weisz) and Red Guardian (David Harbour), promising a strong reunion.

According to CNN, the film will likely fall sometime between “Captain America: Civil War” and “Avengers: Infinity War.” It will certainly take place before “Avengers: Endgame” since Black Widow dies in that film.

“I think you’ll learn about what Natasha is afraid of, and I think you’ll learn about what parts of herself she’s afraid of,” Johansson told CNN. “You really see her in, like, a pretty broken-down place, and she kinda has to build herself back up.”

“There’s three really beautifully written complicated female narratives, which is very unusual in a superhero movie,” Weisz said.

The film arrives May 2020.
