It’s official: We have no idea what’s going on with the Disney Plus show “WandaVision.”
A first look photo for the upcoming “WandaVision” show surfaced online over the weekend. It shows the reality-warping superhuman Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and the powerful android Vision (Paul Bettany) sitting on the couch, holding hands, looking like a couple straight out of the ’50s.

More: Other first-look images for the project showed the couple sitting on a couch in an image that looks like a sitcom show. And apparently footage at the D23 Expo suggested there could be a laugh track with the show, according to Cinemablend.
The reason: Get this — the ’50s-style aesthetic comes from a comic book series called “The Vision” by Tom King. In that comic series, Vision tried to build an android family while living in a neighborhood that seemed born out of the ’50s. Of course, as we know from our own viewing of the MCU, things turn horrible wrong.
Details: Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige unveiled more information about the show at the Comic Con Experience in Brazil this weekend, too, according to Collider.
“(We have) the opportunity to tell their story, and show more of what Wanda can do, more of what makes Vision, Vision, and most importantly, reveal a name that I’m not even sure we’ve said in the MCU yet, but we make a big deal of in the show, is the fact that Wanda is the Scarlet Witch. And what does that mean, that she is the Scarlet Witch? That’s what we play into with this show in ways that are entirely fun, entirely funny, somewhat scary, and will have repercussions for the entire future of Phase 4 of the MCU.”
