SALT LAKE CITY — “America’s Got Talent” hosted a live results show Wednesday to reveal which performers moved on to the semifinals.
Fans chose six acts to move on to the next round. The fan picks automatically move on to the next round, according to USA Today.
Alex Dowis (a black-light painter) and Luke Islam (singer) moved to the next round first. Kodi Lee — who wowed the crowd Tuesday night, which I wrote about for the Deseret News — and the Voices of Service quartet advanced to the next round as well.
Messoudi Brothers (acrobats) and Greg Morton (an impressionist) also moved on, USA Today reports.
So that’s the good news.
On the other side of things, Ansley Burns (wild card singer), Emerald Belles (drill dance team) and Sophie Pecora (singer) finished in the bottom three, Entertainment Tonight reports.
All three competed against each other in a live-voting round. Whoever had the most votes advanced. Burns won the day, according to Entertainment Tonight.
“You didn’t get through, the public got you back,” Simon Cowell said about Burns, who was eliminated from the show but returned through a wild card vote, according to Billboard. ”You were in that danger zone (tonight) and the public brought you back once again. What do you take from that? The public really likes and supports you.”
Carmen Carter (singer), GForce (group singers) and Bir Khalsa (danger act) were all eliminated alongside Emerald Belles and Pecora.
