SALT LAKE CITY — “When Calls the Heart” fans interested in the spinoff show “When Hope Calls” can watch new first-look clips of the show.

Entertainment Tonight shared two new clips of “When Hope Calls,” which is set to premiere in two weeks.

The first clip shows Grace (Jocelyn Hudon) talking with Chuck (Greg Hovanessian), a veterinarian who was once a rancher. The two have a witty exchange when Chuck tells her that the she’s trying to direct cow hears her but doesn’t want to listen to her. She responds, “Do you just look like a cowboy are you the real thing?”

Fire.

In the second clip, Mountie Gabriel (RJ Hatanaka) and Lillian (Morgan Kohan) meet for the first time in town. Gabriel decides to help Lillain with her bag, which is leaking, allowing the two to flirt a little bit and for Lillian to explain how she runs an orphanage with her sister, Grace.

“When Hope Calls” premieres on Aug. 30.

As I wrote for the Deseret News in July, “When Hope Calls” will debut on Hallmark Movies Now, a streaming service from the Hallmark Channel. The show will run from Aug. 30 until Oct. 25.

It’ll tell the story of Lillian and Grace, who open an orphanage in Brookfield. The show takes place in 1916. Lillian and Grace previously appeared in “The Great Christmas Blessing,” a “When Calls the Heart” Christmas film, which starred Lori Loughlin (who Hallmark later cut from “When Calls the Heart” and other programs in the wake of the college admissions scandal).
