SALT LAKE CITY — A new brief clip of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” aired at the D23 Expo on Friday, and it signals the return of Darth Vader ... ‘s helmet.

The 10-second clip doesn’t show too much new footage. Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) slams down a Knight of Ren, Rey (Daisy Ridley) stares at the Second Death Star and Finn (John Boyega) and Poe (Oscar Isaac) appear to be working together.

At the end of the trailer, Kylo Ren holds a glass case that includes Darth Vader’s helmet.

Per ComicBook.com, the “Rise of Skywalker Visual Dictionary” revealed the whereabouts of the helmet since it appears in “The Force Awakens.”

“Rescued from the Starkiller disaster, Kylo returns to his quarters aboard the Supremacy, Supreme Leader Snoke’s vast flagship. Here, Kylo’s isolation allows him to meditate on the Force. He has left Darth Vader’s charred helmet aboard the Finalizer, perhaps not ready to face that visage until he recovers from his failure,” the book says, according to ComicBook.com.
