SALT LAKE CITY — “Big Bang Theory” star Johnny Galecki recently teased a potential return to “The Conners” for season two.
Galecki shared an Instagram post Sunday that announced he would return to the show as David Healy, the boyfriend to Sara Gilbert’s character, Darlene Conner.
The photo showed Galecki and co-star Laurie Metcalf working on set in the Conner family’s kitchen.
“I may be putting the (literal/figurative) pants of #davidhealy back on for one or two more stories on @theconnersabc this year. Twenty some years later I’m still in awe of this ... carnie group who adopted me early on and still learn so very much from them whenever in their presence,” he wrote in the Instagram post.
Galecki’s character previously appeared on the ABC reboot of “Roseanne” before it was canceled, according to Fox News. He previously starred on the original “Roseanne” from 1992-1997.
Galecky won’t be the only star returning to the show. Katey Sagal will return with a significant role as the character Louise, who went to high school with Dan (John Goodman) and Roseanne (Roseanne Barr).
