Felicity Huffman wasn’t up for an Emmy Sunday night. But she wasn’t completely absent from the proceedings.

What happened: Thomas Lennon, a comedian and actor, spent much of the Emmys providing small bits of commentary whenever someone won an award. A winner would take the prize, walk up to the stage and Lennon would offer a quick bit of commentary on the winner. Lennon also offered general commentary through the night.

One of those moments appeared to reference Huffman. After RuPaul won an award for his role in “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” the camera shifted to Lennon, who made this announcement:

  • “The producers have asked me to give a special shout-out to any of our previous lead actress winners who are watching tonight from prison. Hopefully those two weeks are going to fly right by. Keep your chin up!”

How we know: Huffman won the best actress in a comedy series Emmy in 2005 for her role on “Desperate Housewives,” according to HuffPost.

Huffman was recently sentenced to 14 days in prison for her role in the college admissions scandal.

Huffman will report to prison on Oct. 25.

Other celebrities: More celebs, including Roseanne Barr, were ribbed during the show as well. A “Family Guy” skit earlier in the night poked fun at Barr and Bill Cosby, according to BuzzFeed News.

In the skit, Meg said,  ”Wow, the Emmys. I can’t believe all the stars that came out for this.”

Peter replies, “Well kids, in my day the Emmys was always the night of the biggest stars and the best winners. It seemed like every year it was Roseanne, Roseanne, Bill Cosby, Roseanne, and Bill Cosby.”

”The Emmys have been great as rewarding great people for great work,” he added. “And who’s this year’s Bill Cosby and Roseanne? Let’s keep watching and find out.”
