A new report suggests that Tom Holland will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for one more film as Spider-Man... so far.

What happened: Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures announced Friday they will team up for one final movie to end the trilogy that began with “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” Variety reports.

The main characters from the first two films will return for the final “Spider-Man” film as well, which includes Holland, Zendaya, Marissa Tomeo and Jon Favreau. Producers Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige will team up with director Jon Watts for the film.

However: Sources told ComicBook.com that Holland could return as Spider-Man in Sony pictures. He won’t return to the MCU.

Flashback: Sony and Marvel announced in August that Spider-Man will no longer appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films after a deal between the two companies broke down, as reported by the Deseret News. Spider-Man is a Marvel character but Sony owns the right to the film. But the two signed a deal to bring Spider-Man to the MCU, beginning with “Captain America: Civil War.”
