Darth Vader will apparently try to learn more about his son Luke Skywalker in an upcoming comic book.
What’s going on: Marvel and Star Wars announced a new comic called “Star Wars: Darth Vader #1,” which is set to release in February.
- The comic will follow the events of “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.”
- Darth Vader will visit his old Tatooine home as he learns more about Luke Skywalker.
- Description (via StarWars.com): “Hunting for information on Luke Skywalker and seeking revenge on all those who hid his son from him, tragedies and images from Vader’s past come hurtling back — proving they’re always with him.”
What they’re saying: Editor Mark Paniccia said the comic will offer an important look into the Skywalker past.
- Paniccia: “The new Darth Vader series explores some very important events from Anakin Skywalker’s past and shows a side of the Dark Lord we’ve never seen before. We’ll be uncovering secrets right along with him including a last-page shocker that’s guaranteed to have Star Wars fans talking.”
