Details about the role Wilson will play on the series are still unknown, as are many details of the series in general, according to Vanity Fair. However, the storyline is expected to follow the mischievous god Loki (Tom Hiddleston) after his theft of the Tesseract and his disappearance in “Avengers: Endgame.”

This will be a different version of the character than fans came to know in later MCU films like “Thor: Ragnarok” and “Avengers: Infinity War,” Hiddleston explained at the last San Diego Comic Con, according to TV Guide.

“He’s still that guy (from the first ‘Avengers’), and just about the last thing that happened to him was he got Hulk-smashed, so there’s a lot of psychological evolution that has still yet to happen,” Hiddleston said, according to TV Guide.

Wilson has laid low from big-screen appearances for the last two years, with his last major role being the 2017 film “Wonder,” according to Vanity Fair.

“Loki” is expected to come to Disney Plus in spring 2021, according to TV Guide.
