Tom Hanks won a lifetime achievement award Sunday night, and Twitter celebrated it.

What happened: The Golden Globe Awards honored Tom Hanks with the Cecil B. DeMille Award for his lifetime achievement and impact on the entertainment industry Sunday night.

In his speech, Hanks thanked his family.
Hanks said getting to work on time and being present can help a career.
Hanks praised the work of everyone who works on movies.
