A recent report from Collider suggests that Christian Bale is in talks to appear in “Thor: Love and Thunder,” and social media has an idea of who he should play.
What’s going on: Twitter reacted to the potential of Bale starring in the film with the suggestion that Bale play Beta Ray Bill.
Peep this reaction:
Who is Beta Ray Bill?: The character has a large history in the Marvel Comics Universe. He is known for having the same powers as Thor and even wearing an identical suit.
- He is worthy of holding Mijolnir, the hammer of Thor.
- He is the true wielder of Stormbreaker, the weapon Thor used in “Avengers: Endgame” and “Avengers: Infinity War” to battle Thanos.
- In the original run, Bill was a rival of Thor’s since he was the only non-Norse mythology character to wield Mijolnir. They later teamed up as allies.
- In the end, he was captured by Skrulls. He fled to Earth. Thor nursed him to recover from injuries suffered from the Skrulls. The Skrulls invaded Earth. A Super-Skrull defeated him, though.

Marvel Cinematic Universe appearance: Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige told Crave Online in 2017 that Beta Ray Bill was originally in “Thor: Ragnorak” but he was cut from the film, according to ComicBook.com.
- Feige: “There was a Beta Ray Bill, but it was so quick that you would have the same complaints that you have now. He was in it a little bit more and it just didn’t do justice. And the feeling is, if you can’t do it justice, do it later.”
