Adam Sandler paid homage to the late Cameron Boyce during the credits of the new Netflix movie “Hubie Halloween.”

  • Boyce worked with Sanders on “Grown Ups” and “Grown Ups 2.”
  • Boyce died on July 6, 2019, after suffering from a seizure in is sleep. He was 20.

During the credits, a picture of Boyce appeared on screen with a message about the late actor, according to People magazine.

  • “In loving memory of Cameron Boyce,” the tribute reads. “Gone way too soon and one of the kindest, coolest, funniest, and most talented kids we knew. You live on forever in our hearts and are truly missed every day.”

Boyce was a popular young actor who starred on multiple Disney shows. He played Luke Ross in the Disney Channel comedy “Jessie” (2011 to 2015) and Carlos in the three “Descendants” television films.

Sandler previously told Yahoo! Entertainment that Boyce was meant to appear in the movie.

  • “He was supposed to come to do the movie maybe two days after (he died). He was getting on a plane to come shoot our movie,” Sandler told Yahoo! Entertainment. “That was devastating news for his family and for all of us. He was always great to my family. Cameron came to my daughter’s bat mitzvah three months before he passed away and every one of my daughter’s friends was coming up to him, and he took the time and talked to everybody, and signed autographs and took pictures with them. He was just a great kid, and everybody misses him.”
