Sony’s PlayStation 5 hit the market Wednesday night, and it drew so much attention that the console sold out, Fox Business reports.

What’s going on?

People across the country were allowed to order PlayStation 5 video game consoles on Wednesday night. The pandemic has forced people to order devices online instead of shopping in person.

  • PlayStation went on sale in multiple countries, including in North America, Japan, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea.
  • Fans were allowed to preorder the device ahead of time since sales were expected to be tight ahead of its release date.

How to buy one now:

It might be hard to find one now. But there are a few ways to snag one on Nov. 12, which is the launch day for the device.

  • GameStop had a limited number of bundles that will go live on the website. They are now sold out.
  • Walmart is having several rounds of availability at noon, 3 p.m. 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. EST. You can check the website then to try and buy.
  • BestBuy has an option for online and app purchase so you can pick up in your store.
  • Target also has availability online and in store. Same rules apply to the other local stores.
