“The Masked Singer” season 4 made history Wednesday night, unmasking the first ever duo on the show as the Snow Owls took off their masks.

  • The unmasking happened after the Snow Owls performed “The Prayer” by Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion.

Who are the Snow Owls?

The Snow Owls were revealed to be Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black. The duo makes history as the first two-person team to be unmasked.

  • “It took about three minutes to decide to do it,” said Clint Black, according to Variety. “It starts to look like more than you can chew. We really didn’t have an idea just how challenging it would be. But it was fun. We’re glad we did it.”
  • “My biggest concern was it was going to be weird, hard singing this way. But, you can hear the music really well,” Clint Black said. “And I think that’s half of it. The producers, the engineers and music director they go to great lengths to make you comfortable and make sure you’re hearing what you need to hear.”

Rumors, rumors, rumors:

Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black were rumored to be on the show for a few weeks now. Social media thought the two were performing as the Snow Owls right from the start.

What about Chip and Joanna Gaines?

Back in October, the internet predicted that “Fixer Upper” couple Chip and Joanna Gaines were on the fourth season of “The Masked Singer” as the Snow Owls. There was convincing evidence, such as the constant references to prayers, working hard and fixing up places. There was even a reference to Magnolia, the business name for Chip and Joanna Gaines.

Alas, it wasn’t them.
