While “The Mandalorian” might be the most popular show available on Disney+, it’s certainly not the only program worth watching. Disney’s streaming service is home to a surplus of quality original content and its inventory is ever-expanding.

‘Inside Pixar’

The newest series to grace the platform is a documentary program called “Inside Pixar,” and its first batch of episodes are set to release on Friday Nov. 13, according to Collider,

Here is Disney’s official description of the series, via SlashFilm: “Produced by Pixar Animation Studios, “Inside Pixar”...offers insights into the personal and cinematic stories that provide an inside look into the people, artistry, and culture of Pixar Animation Studios.”

What to expect

“Inside Pixar” pulls back the curtain at Pixar Studios to reveal the arduous development process behind some of the company’s most beloved properties like “Coco” while simultaneously offering viewers a glimpse into upcoming projects as well.

The show is divided into four collections that will be released individually. Each collection consists of five short episodes that share a central theme, SlashFilm reports.

According to Gizmodo, the series’ first theme is “Inspired,” and it will feature interview segments from Kemp Powers, the co-writer and co-director of the studio’s upcoming feature film “Soul” (which will be released directly to Disney+ on Christmas).

Erica Milsom and Tony Kaplan are directing the series and together they have years of experience creating documentaries for Pixar.

The duo directed a project titled “The Pixar Shorts: A Short History” in 2007 and they individually handled the making-of projects for “Finding Dory” and “Cars 3,” according to SlashFilm.

Earlier this year, Milsom directed “Loop,” an 11-minute Pixar Sparkshort project that features the first non-verbal autistic character in the company’s history (you can watch it now on Disney+).
