Disney Parks recently shared first look photos of the “Star Wars”: Galactic Starcruiser, a new hotel experience for Disney Parks where guests will live aboard a “Star Wars” ship.
- The experience lasts two days and two nights, acting similar to a cruiseliner. Only this takes place in a fictional “Star Wars” universe.
- “Unlike any typical cruise, though, you can become the heroes of your own Star Wars story in a new type of immersive experience that only Disney could create.”
The experience gives fans “Star Wars” cabins and dining options. People can also leave the hotel to visit Black Spire Outpost on Batuu — the land scene in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

- Disney announced in 2019 that the new Star Wars: Galactic Stacruiser hotel experience will begin taking tours in 2021, as I wrote about for the Deseret News.
- The ship will be called the Halcyon.
- The ship will include roaming “Star Wars” characters.

Christine McCarthy, Disney chief financial official, recently told the Orlando Sentinel that the hotel experience — which will be added to Disneyland and Walt Disney World — is important for the country.
- She said: “We’ve really prioritized some of our investment spending. The ones that we’re really focused on are things like the Star Wars hotel that we’ve discussed publicly that will be in Walt Disney World. That’s a priority.”
