Kanye West appeared to concede in the 2020 presidential election, tweeting a simple statement at the end of the night: “WELP KANYE 2024.”

  • This would suggest Kanye West plans to run in 2024.
  • West deleted the original tweet and reposted it without the “WELP” but said “KANYE 2024.”

Did Kanye West get any votes?

West accrued over 60,000 total votes in the 2020 election as of 6:30 a.m. MST. He never went above 0.5% in any state where he was on the ballot, according to Variety.

  • West had the most votes in Tennessee, where he won 10,216 votes (good for 0.3% of the state’s total).
  • In Utah, Kanye West had about 0.4% of the vote when election results first came through, as I tweeted Tuesday night.
