The Washington Post has created a holiday cookie generator that will help you decide which holiday cookies to bake during the season.
The generator helps you find the right cookie by letting you choose which category of cookie you want. You click on different categories of cookies. The generator will then show specific cookie types for you to make and eat.
- For example, clicking “cereal,” “honey” and “nut-free” categories led the generator to show me the “Neapolitan nice crispy bars” and “white chocolate honey crisp bars” recipes.
There’s also a search bar where you can type in a specific kind of cookie you want to make.
Visit the generator over at The Washington Post.
Baking cookies in a pandemic:
Baking holiday cookies in a pandemic might seem a little weird, especially if you don’t want to head out to a party. But there are plenty of recipes good for shipping cookies to friends and gifting them to others, according to The Wall Street Journal.
You can also host a virtual baking party with your friends, according to USA Today. Of course, hosting one of those events might require a little bit of planning before the baking fest begins. And yes, to stay safe, sanitize the packaging before handing out the boxes or shipping them off to friends.
