The annual post-Thanksgiving influx of holiday music has always been a clear sign of the start of the holiday season. This year, perhaps more than ever before, folks across the country were jamming out to Christmas tunes as a record 39 holiday songs were featured on this week’s Billboard’s Hot 100, the music industry’s standard for measuring popular music.

For the fifth time since its 1994 release, Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” leads the pack at No. 1. According to ABC News, Carey’s Christmas jingle resurges on the chart nearly every December.

Other songs that cracked the top 10 include Burl Ives’ “A Holly Jolly Christmas,” José Feliciano’s “Feliz Navidad”and Wham!’s “Last Christmas.”

According to USA Today, the only song in the Top 10 that wasn’t holiday-related was 24kGoldn and Iann Dior’s “Mood,” which topped the Hot 100 for six weeks earlier this year and is currently sitting at No. 7.

Several artists have multiple holiday songs featured on the chart, including Kelly Clarkson, Michael Bublé, Perry Como, Bing Crosby and Carrie Underwood.
