“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” left us with open possibilities about the future of Kylo Ren. He had just witnessed the death of his uncle Luke Skywalker and became the Supreme Leader for the First Order.
- And apparently he blew up an entire planet soon after.
What’s going on?
The new comic book “Star Wars Adventures #2“ revealed that Kylo Ren shows his strength as Supreme Leader by leaving an entire planet in flames, according to ScreenRant.
- In the story, Ren and the First Order visit planets to let them know about the First Order reigning supreme. On one planet, he meets a woman who denies his rule, saying she rather die for her people than submit to the First Order.
- Ren decides to leave the planet, and then something wild happens. “As his ship departs, the entire planet can be seen engulfed in flames,” according to ScreenRant.
However ...
It’s never explained how Ren and the First Order blow up the planet and set it on fire. You could argue they used weaponry from the Starkiller Base — or the same technology that was attached to Star Destroyers in “The Rise of Skywalker.”
‘The Last Jedi’ in the news
“The Last Jedi” has been back in the news as of late because director Rian Johnson has been speaking about stuff behind the scenes.
- Johnson said he almost had a Force ghost Anakin Skywalker appear in “The Last Jedi” so he could talk to Luke Skywalker, as I wrote about for the Deseret News. Johnson decided to go with Yoda instead because Yoda was Luke’s master.
- Johnson also revealed he came up with “The Last Jedi” title early in the production process, as I wrote for the Deseret News.
