The NBA will honor the late Kobe Bryant at the NBA All-Star Game this upcoming weekend in Chicago, and it’ll start with Jennifer Hudson, according to USA Today.
What’s happening for Kobe?
- Hudson — a Chicago native — will perform a tribute for Bryant, his daughter Gianna Bryant and the seven others killed in the Jan. 26 helicopter crash.
- Hudson will perform the tribute before the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, according to CNN.
Who will honor Bryant?
- Chance the Rapper will perform at halftime at the All-Star Game with Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled and Quavo, according to USA Today.
- Chance the Rapper said: “The league, the fans, the players will all pay tribute to the legendary Kobe Bryant. For an entire generation he defined the title ‘NBA All-Star.’ Chicago will glow with a warmth and a brilliance that it’s never had before. It’s the ultimate celebration.”
Who else is performing?
- Chaka Khan will sing the U.S. national anthem before the game, too, CNN reports.
