Now that ABC’s “Modern Family” is ending its 11-year run, Sofia Vergara will be joining NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” as a judge, CNN reports.

Vergara released a statement saying she was excited for her “next chapter” and “extremely proud” to be the show’s first-ever Latino judge, reports Yahoo! News.

In addition to Vergara, former judge Heidi Klum will also be returning to the show to sit alongside former castmates Howie Mandel and Simon Cowell, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Klum and Vergara will be replacing former judges Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough, who are not returning to the show due to what Union referred to as a “toxic culture” on set, USA Today reports.

The “America’s Got Talent” cast seems eager to welcome Vergara to the judges table, tweeting their support and excitement for the Emmy-nominated actress to join them next season.

Mandel even tweeted a behind-the-scenes photo of all the judges’ brand new “X’s” to welcome Vergara to the cast. The actor has been diagnosed with OCD and is a “germaphobe,” CNN reports, explaining his reluctance to shake Vergara’s hand.

Terry Crews will also be returning next season as host of the show, reports Fox News, and is eager to welcome Vergara to the “AGT family.”
