Disney has decided to postpone production on multiple projects because of the coronavirus spread, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
What’s going on:
- Disney will stop production for multiple films, including “The Little Mermaid” live-action remake, which was going to start production in nine days, THR reports.

- “Home Alone,” “The Last Duel” and “Nightmare Alley” are also halted for now.
- Marvel’s “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” will also be stopped for now.
- Disney said: “While there have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 on our productions, after considering the current environment and the best interests of our cast and crew, we have made the decision to pause production on some of our live-action films for a short time. We will continue to assess the situation and restart as soon as feasible.”
Other delays from Disney:
- Disney delayed production in Prague for “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.”
