The Walt Disney Company has released the digital version of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” before its original scheduled date, according to Deadline.

On Sunday morning, “Star Wars” fans found that the film was officially available to download on the following platforms:
- Apple TV and iTunes
- Amazon
- Vudu
- Xfinity
- Google Play
- FandangoNow
- The film costs $19.99 for SD and HD, and $24.99 for 4K Ultra HD, per Variety.
How early?
- “Rise of Skywalker” was supposed to be released on digital platforms Tuesday, March 17.
- Currently, the movie is only available for purchase, not rent.
What about the DVD/Blu-ray release?
- Per Variety, the film will drop in stores on March 31.
- Physical copies can be preordered online.
What about Disney Plus?
- According to ComicBook.com, the film would likely drop on Disney Plus around July.
