Many celebrities have stepped up to do their part in the last few weeks as the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread across the world and many people find themselves in increasingly challenging financial situations, according to USA Today.
Actress Kristen Bell became the latest celebrity to contribute, sharing on Instagram on Wednesday that she had donated to the organization No Kid Hungry — with some help from her kids.
Bell’s daughters Lincoln, 6, and Delta, 5, added the money they had in their piggy bank to Bell’s contribution, according to People magazine.
“I couldnt have been prouder to add that extra, and important 7 dollars and 96 cents,” Bell wrote on Instagram.
No Kid Hungry wrote in their own Instagram post that the donation would go toward school grants and community groups working to feed children who have been impacted by the outbreak of COVID-19.
Bell also encouraged others who are in a position help to do their part.
“NKH has always been there for kids who need them,” Bell wrote in her Instagram post. “They work tirelessly to provide food for the hungry bellys all over this country. I encourage anyone with the means to share to donate as well, any amount helps, so we can get through this together.”
