Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood joined the ranks of many musicians Monday night by hosting an online concert during the coronavirus outbreak. But their concert, CNN reports, turned out a bit differently.
Over Facebook Live, the couple performed for more than 3 million viewers, singing emotional songs like “Amazing Grace” and “Hallelujah” — and crashing the platform multiple times.
Brooks even announced on Instagram that he would leave the stream up for extra time so people who had been unable to watch live could see the concert.
The couple took many requests from fans and performed a cover of “Shallow” from “A Star is Born.”
It was exactly what I needed! 💙 So when are @garthbrooks and @trishayearwood going to record Shallow?! Cause I need to hear *that* again!

The live performance — originally scheduled to be a 30 minutes — went for about an hour. The concert was a special edition of Brooks’ “Inside Studio G” Facebook Live series, USAToday reports.
Yearwood also tweeted out a video of the couple’s rendition of “Amazing Grace,” which brought Brooks to tears. She encouraged people to “grasp for gratitude” during this trying time.
When in doubt, grasp for gratitude #AmazingGrace! We will get through this 🙏 #SafeAtHome pic.twitter.com/yHreUk7Dxx
