“Grey’s Anatomy” will end its 16th season a little earlier than expected because of the coronavirus.

What’s going on:

  • ABC announced “Grey’s Anatomy” will push up its finale date to Thursday, April 9. The show’s season 16 finale was set to air on May 16, according to Entertainment Weekly.
  • The new finale airing on April 9 was the last episode filmed in production before the coronavirus put the show’s production on hold.
  • The title of the new finale will be called “Put on a Happy Face.”
  • “Grey’s Anatomy” doesn’t plan to resume production on the season once the staff is allowed to return to work.
  • “Grey’s Anatomy” will return for a 17th season, though.
