“Grey’s Anatomy” will end its 16th season a little earlier than expected because of the coronavirus.
What’s going on:
- ABC announced “Grey’s Anatomy” will push up its finale date to Thursday, April 9. The show’s season 16 finale was set to air on May 16, according to Entertainment Weekly.

- “Grey’s Anatomy” doesn’t plan to resume production on the season once the staff is allowed to return to work.
- “Grey’s Anatomy” will return for a 17th season, though.
Other shows change their schedules
- Schedules for “Station 19” and “How to Get Away With Murder” won’t change, though, according to CNN. Those shows will run on May 14, which was the original plan.
- AMC’s “The Walking Dead” will make a similar call, ending its season a little earlier, according to CNN. But AMC said its season finale will air later in the year.
