Disney Parks has released a virtual tour of its newest parade, giving Disney fans a chance to see something new that they can’t see because of the coronavirus pandemic.

What’s going on:

Disney shared a new video to YouTube that shows a virtual recording of the “Magic Happens” parade, which recently debuted at Disneyland in California.

The virtual viewing is related to #DisneyMagicMoments, a new campaign where family and friends can share powerful moments about Disney.

Disney Parks said the parade is a “daytime spectacular” that “celebrates the awe-inspiring moments of magic that are at the heart of so many Disney stories. We hope you’ll gather with family at home to watch this stunning moment of magic.”

When will Disney open its parks again?

  • Disney announced over the weekend that Disneyland in California and Walt Disney World in Florida will remain closed for the foreseeable future as the coronavirus pandemic continues, as I wrote for the Deseret News.
  • Disney originally expected its parks to open at the end of March but that deadline has been extended due to the coronavirus outbreak, as I wrote for the Deseret News..
  • The company said in a statement: “The safety and well-being of our guests and employees remains The Walt Disney Company’s top priority.”
  • Disney will allow guests to modify their travel dates for new reservations, which are now available for June 1 and anytime after. No word on if those dates will change, too.
