“The Batman” director Matt Reeves shared first-look images of the new Batmobile on Twitter Wednesday, offering another glimpse at the next Batman movie.

What’s going on?

  • Reeves shared three pictures of the next Batmobile, which looks pretty standard as far as Batmobiles go.
  • Reeves captioned the post with bat and car emojis.
  • Similar to previous posts, Reeves revealed a new first-look at the film and left it at that, deciding not to give anymore details about what’s to come.
  • ComicBook.com said: “This realistic take on the Batmobile is something we haven’t really seen in live-action Batman movies before. Rather than going for something sleek and futuristic, this design seems to be nothing more than an all-black Dodge Challenger with some heavy additions. It definitely matches the dark and brooding aesthetic of the camera test shared by Reeves last month.”

More reveals:

  • Reeves released a video on Vimeo and Twitter that offered a first look at Batman, who will be played by Robert Pattinson, which I wrote about for the Deseret News.
  • Reeves said the new film will be a “defining” and “personal film.” A secondary report said the film will take place in the second year of Batman’s career, as I wrote for the Deseret News.
  • Reeves tweeted a GIF of actor Colin Farrell, which revealed Farrell would star as the Penguin in “The Batman.”
