What happened with Hanks and Wilson
- Hanks and Wilson were two of the biggest celebrities to be diagnosed with the coronavirus. The announcement of Hanks and Wilson as patients with coronavirus came on the same night that the NBA canceled a game between the Utah Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder, which led to the suspension of the entire NBA season.
- The couple had traveled to Australia to begin production on a biopic about Elvis Presley.
- Hanks said at the time: “There are those for whom it could lead to a very serious illness. We are taking it one day at a time. There are things we can all do to get through this by following the advice of experts and taking care of ourselves and each other, no?”
