There may be a new episode of the viral “Tiger King” documentary coming to Netflix. Of course, it’s still unclear.
Here’s what happened.
Professional baseball player Justin Turner talked about the viral Netflix documentary “Tiger King: Murder, Madness and Mayhem” with his wife Kourtney on her podcast “Holding Kourt.” Turner unexpectedly became the bearer of valuable secrets about the series when he revealed the show may be coming back for an additional episode, according to Fox News.
After listening to the podcast, a “Tiger King” producer, Christie Dishner, sent Turner a clip of Jeff Lowe and wife Lauren Dropla revealing some exciting information — Netflix is filming an eighth episode, according to WTHR.
So our friend @christie_dish listened to the podcast, @HoldingKourt and after last weeks episode decided to send us this!!!— Justin Turner (@redturn2) April 4, 2020

But it may not happen, at least not yet. As Newsweek reports, this is an incredibly fast timeline for Netflix, which often releases new episodes on Fridays. That would give the series directors less than a week for post-production.
Considering the fact that the original seven episodes took five years to put together, this is a tall ask, according to Newsweek.
In addition to the incredibly tight deadline, Netflix representatives have made no official comment indicating a new episode is in production, CNET reports.
However, Netflix recently filmed a follow-up interview with the incarcerated star of the series, Joe Exotic, and released it on Twitter last week.
