“The Office” cast reunited on Zoom this week to perform the epic dance scene from Jim and Pam’s wedding, and they did it for a new couple.
John Krasinski hosted the cast on his YouTube show, “Some Good News.” In the episode, Jenna Fischer, Mindy Kaling, BJ Novak, Rainn Wilson, Angela Kinsey, Kate Flannery and others all joined to perform the wedding dance, which was based off a viral dance video from the early 2000s.
The couple — Susan and John — had decided to have a virtual wedding because of the coronavirus pandemic. Krasinski had been asked to officiate the wedding.
“There’s only one way out of this wedding. And Susan and John, because you elegantly ripped off our proposal, I think it’s only fitting that you rip off the wedding too,” he said.
And so entered “The Office” stars.
The scene featured the song “Forever” by Chris Brown, which was used during “The Office” wedding scene, too.
Many of the character reenact their dance moves from that episode, too.
See the original scene below.
Krasinski’s show has had several viral moments over the last few weeks. For example, the actor hosted a virtual prom for high school students after the school was closed because of the COVID-19 outbreak, as Valerie Jones reported.
And it’s not the first time “Office” stars have appeared. Krasinski and Carell reunited on the YouTube show, where they talked about their favorite moments. Carell said “Dinner Party” was his favorite moment of the show. Krasinski said his favorite episode was “Goodbye, Michael,” as I wrote about for the Deseret News.
