Two veteran NASA astronauts will head to the International Space Station on the SpaceX Crew Dragon. The Crew Dragon will launch on Wednesday from Florida’s Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral.
This will be the first launch of American astronauts form U.S. soil in at least nine years. The last time astronauts headed to the space station was in 2011 on the Space Shuttle Atlantis, according to CBS News.
The launch represents the first manned flight from SpaceX Crew Dragon and the first commercial spacecraft to send NASA astronauts to space.
