A Maryland mansion that features a basement that that has been compared to Disneyland has gone on sale for $4.5 million, according to multiple reports.
What’s going on:
- The Maryland mansion — which has seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms and three half-baths — has received plenty of attention recently for its basement, of all things.
- The home — complete with 10 fireplaces, a library, a music room and kitchen — has a half-finished basement that resembles a town from the turn of the century.
- A tweet about the home went viral this week for it showed off the unique basement.

According to House Beautiful, the basement “looks a lot like Disneyland’s Main Street during Christmastime ... with some curious details.”
- There are 15 different storefronts made of cinderblocks. There’s a small door that opens to a garage. The ceiling is painted black to resemble the night sky.
- The owner has “a fantastic sentence of humor,” Lori Leasure, of Washington Fine Properties, told Fox Business.
- “He wanted something unique. At the time, he had three teenagers growing up in the home and they loved hosting parties down there,” she said. “It was a very entertaining space to hang out.”
