Wendy’s may not have the hamburger you want right now because of the coronavirus pandemic.

- Wendy’s announced that some menu items might not be available because of a national meat shortage, which has been caused by the coronavirus pandemic, according to CNN.
- Wendy’s said in a statement (via Restaurant Business). “Some of our menu items may be in short supply from time to time at some restaurants in this current environment. We expect this to be temporary, and we’re working diligently to minimize the impact to our customers and restaurants.”
- According to CNN, the company said some menu items might be ”temporarily limited at some restaurants in this current environment.”
- Financial firm Stephens conducted a recent analysis of online menus to find that 1,000 — about 18% — of Wendy’s 5,500 restaurants don’t serve hamburgers or meat-based items, according to CNN.
- Wendy’s relies of fresh beef for its meals, which makes it “more exposed” to the shortage, according to Stephens.
- Wendy’s spokesperson said: “We’re working diligently to minimize the impact to our customers and restaurants, and continue to work with our supplier partners to monitor this closely.”
