Director Zack Snyder shared the first brief teaser for his cut of the “Justice League” film, which will debut on HBO Max next year.
What is the Snyder cut?
- Snyder said his version of “Justice League” will hit HBO Max in 2021 after years of fans campaigning for the release, as I reported for the Deseret News.
- Snyder said he wasn’t sure if it would be an entire four-hour film or broken up into a series.
- Snyder was the original director of “Justice League” before he stepped away for a family tragedy. Joss Whedon jumped in to oversee production and reshoots. The resulting film underwhelmed at the box office and with critics, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
What the teaser shows:
- The teaser shows Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) looking at an artifact. Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) speaks over the scene, talking about a grave threat coming to Earth. We can assume this is Darkseid, who Snyder confirmed appears in his cut of the film.
