Several crowds gathered outside of Downtown Disney after the shopping district reopened amid the coronavirus pandemic on Thursday.
The area reopened at 10 a.m. PT.
A line spilled onto the sidewalk before the area even reopened.
Disneyland News Today — a social media feed and website dedicated to Disneyland news — shared a video that displayed the crowds gathering outside the shopping district.

Fans waited overnight to enter the park, according to KTLA, a Los Angeles-based television station.
“I definitely feel safe. I feel like Disney is very cautious of their cast members and their visitors, and they want to make sure that everybody is going to be safe,” a fan told KTLA. “And they decided not to reopen their parks. I feel like that was a really good idea.”
Crowds packed into the World of Disney Store there at Downtown Disney, too. People grabbed books, bags, toys and more products within the store, avoiding some of the social distancing practices.

Disneyland has issued health and safety guidelines for people visiting the area, including temperature checks before entry, face coverings for those 2 years old and older, physical distancing and physical barriers in different locations.
Downtown Disney will have reduced hours and an increased focus on cleaning and sanitation, too, according to my report for the Deseret News.
