The producers of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” have spoken up to deny rumors that the show is being canceled, Fox News reported on Thursday.

After a report from The Sun that the daytime talk show might be canceled due to falling ratings and rumors that DeGeneres is “mean” to her staff, representatives from Telepictures Television said they “can confirm it’s untrue,” according to Fox.

Ratings for “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” recently fell 14%, bringing it to a season low, according to a report from TVNewsCheck.

However, the show is still currently scheduled to run through 2022, according to Reuters.

DeGeneres has faced backlash over the last few months. In April, she was criticized by many on social media after saying that being in quarantine in her mansion was “like being in jail,” the Deseret News previously reported.

Later that month, members of the stage crew on DeGeneres’ show complained about their treatment and “lack of communication” while the show was shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to the Deseret News.

When DeGeneres began filming episodes from home, the show chose to hire a non-union company to work for them instead.
