“When it hasn’t been your day, your week, your month or even your year” — if that’s not a lyric for 2020, we don’t know what is.
Perhaps you’ve regularly watched TV any time in the last 25 years. If so, you’ve probably caught the “Friends” opening credits at least once. Those matching white and black outfits, that dancing/tomfoolery in front of a New York City fountain, that theme song that’s a little too catchy. Iconic stuff.
Thanks to a new video by comedian Matthew Highton, you can see the “Friends” credits in a whole new light. Highton recreated the entire Season 1 credits sequence using only stock video footage — each shot matching the real credits to a degree that is, well, pretty impressive. He even put the original credits sequence right below his new recreation, so you can watch them in tandem.
Highton didn’t stop there. He’s also made stock video recreations of the credits to “Happy Days,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “The O.C.” These are available to watch on Highton’s YouTube channel and his Twitter account. Happy viewing.
