One “Star Wars” fan made an edit to the end of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” that changed the way the final battle plays out in the saga’s ninth film.

The final battle of “Rise of Skywalker” features Rey fighting her grandfather, Sheev Palpatine (former emperor of the Galactic Empire). Rey uses the strength of the dead Jedi to defeat the villainous Sith leader. During the scene, she hears the voices of Jedi of the past to gather the strength to fight.

One“Star Wars” fan — named Jon H. on YouTube — posted a fan edit that includes Alex Guinness as Obi Wan Kenobi, Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker and Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker.

So instead of just hearing Jedi voices, Rey receives physical help from the long gone Jedi.

It’s a subtle tweak to the film, bringing back characters from the original and prequel trilogies to help tie it all together. It doesn’t change much in terms of the actual story, but it does emphasize the unification of Jedi and Sith. There’s also a nostalgic link of seeing Luke, Obi Wan and Anakin helping Rey all at once to defeat Palpatine for good.
