Disney’s upcoming live-action “Peter Pan” remake might already have its villain.

Jude Law is in talks to play Captain Hook in “Peter Pan & Wendy,” which will update Disney’s 1953 animated film, Variety reported.

The film is already set to star 12-year-old Ever Gabo Anderson, who will also appear in the upcoming “Black Widow” movie, as Wendy, and Alexander Molony as Peter Pan, according to People magazine.

“Peter Pan & Wendy” will be directed by “Pete’s Dragon” director David Lowery.

The film expected to have a theatrical run ather than streaming immediately on Disney Plus, according to Variety.

However, it’s unclear when “Peter Pan & Wendy” might come to theaters or even begin filming.

Disney’s last live-action remake, “Mulan,” still has yet to be released after being postponed twice due to the coronavirus pandemic. “Mulan” is currently set to be released on Aug. 21, the Deseret News reported.

Meanwhile, Disney’s other upcoming live-action remake — “The Little Mermaid” — had its production postponed back in March, according to the Deseret News.

Recent remakes have proved successful for Disney, with both “Aladdin” and “The Lion King” each earning over $1 billion globally at the box office in 2019, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
