Sharon Stone has spoken out about her sister’s COVID-19 diagnosis and battle solely blaming it on “non-mask wearers.”

In an Instagram post, Stone shared a photo of the hospital room of her sister, Kelly Stone. The caption read, “One of you Non-Mask wearers did this. She does not have an immune system. The only place she went was the pharmacy. There is no testing in her county unless you are symptomatic, & then it’s 5 day wait for results.”

Stone’s sister has lupus, which is an autoimmune disease that tends to cause inflammation in the internal organs, joints and skin. This tends to put people at a higher risk than most if they contract COVID-19, according to the Lupus Foundation of America.

kelly Stone has been detailing her COVID journey throughout her social media pages, CBS News reports.

In a post, she wrote, “We thought covid wouldn’t and couldn’t find us. No shopping, no parties, barely saw a human. Now fighting for a breath you don’t want covid.”

“Stand behind more tests, more masks, demanding everyone wear a mask. You never, ever want to feel like this,” Kelly Stone added.

Back in July, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended that Americans wear a mask in public to help slow the spread of the virus.

“There is increasing evidence that cloth face coverings help prevent people who have COVID-19 from spreading the virus to others,” the CDC said according to NBC News.

Stone isn't the first of celebrities to urge others to wear a mask. Celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston, Morgan Freeman, Jamie Foxx, Tom Hanks, and others have all reminded and urged their followers to have a mask on when in public, according to USA Today.
